Delivery Overview
Fire Safety Store North West supplies fire doors, fire-rated ironmongery and associated products to customers across the UK.
Delivery arrangements may vary depending on the product ordered, quantity, size, weight, destination and whether the goods are standard products or configured to your requirements.
Replace this notice with the final confirmed delivery-service wording once your courier, delivery coverage and fulfilment arrangements have been agreed.
Where We Deliver
The areas available for delivery will depend on the product and delivery service being used.
Confirm whether delivery is available throughout England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, offshore islands or any other restricted areas.
Mainland UK
Confirm the standard delivery coverage and any regional restrictions.
Remote / Offshore Areas
Confirm whether additional charges or longer lead times apply.
Delivery Charges
Delivery charges should be made clear to the customer before an order is completed.
Insert the final rules for delivery charges here. For example: calculated at checkout, fixed rates, postcode-based rates, quotation after ordering, or separate delivery invoices.
Lead Times
Different products may have different dispatch and delivery times. Fire doors configured to customer requirements may require additional manufacturing time before dispatch.
Insert your final standard-product lead times, configured fire-door lead times and any separate glazing, finishing or special-product lead times.
Any stated lead time should be treated in accordance with the final Terms and Conditions and Delivery Policy.
Arranging Delivery
Depending on the size and type of order, customers may be contacted before delivery to confirm access, availability or other delivery requirements.
Add whether customers receive tracking, a delivery date, time window, telephone call, email or courier notification before delivery.
Large or Bulky Deliveries
Fire doors and some associated products can be large, heavy or difficult to handle. Any access or unloading requirements should be explained in the final policy.
State whether delivery is kerbside, whether the customer must provide labour or equipment for unloading, and whether drivers assist with moving products into buildings.
Receiving Your Order
Customers should inspect deliveries as soon as reasonably possible and check that the items received match the order.
This includes checking quantities, obvious visible damage, packaging and the general condition of the products.
Confirm whether customers must inspect goods before signing for delivery and what they should write on the delivery note if damage is visible.
Damaged, Incorrect or Missing Items
If a delivery arrives damaged, incomplete or does not match the order, customers should contact Fire Safety Store North West as soon as possible.
Insert the final timeframe for reporting transit damage, missing items or incorrect products and specify what evidence is required, such as photos of the packaging and product.
The final policy should explain what the customer should do with potentially damaged or incorrect goods while the issue is being reviewed.
Failed or Missed Deliveries
Where a delivery has been arranged, the customer may need to ensure that somebody is available to receive the goods and that the delivery location is accessible.
Confirm whether redelivery, storage, waiting-time or aborted-delivery charges may apply when the customer is unavailable or access cannot be obtained.
Delivery Delays
Occasionally, circumstances outside our immediate control may affect manufacturing, dispatch or delivery.
The final wording should match the Terms and Conditions and set out how delays are communicated, whether dates are estimates and the customer's rights where applicable.
Made-to-Requirement Fire Doors
Fire doors ordered through Build Your Fire Door may be produced to the dimensions and specification selected by the customer.
These orders may have different manufacturing, cancellation, return and delivery arrangements from standard stock products.
Insert the final approved wording covering made-to-measure / customer-specification products. This should match your Terms and Conditions and Returns Policy.
Returns and Collections
Delivery and return arrangements are separate issues, but customers should be directed clearly to the applicable Returns & Refund Policy.
Once your Returns & Refund Policy page has been created, replace this notice with a link to the final page.
